Rootlings is a national youth network for all individuals 35 and under working in the Australian wine industry, regardless of your role.

It’s a community that cultivates connection, aids professional and personal development, and amplifies the youth voice. By joining Rootlings, you gain access to a wealth of resources, networking opportunities, and a platform to voice your ideas and concerns.  

You can join Rootlings at any time, choose your level of involvement and tap into the opportunities that interest you. The current initiatives to be rolled out in 2025 include the following: 

• Happy Hour – a super casual virtual monthly chat and chill 

• Online Education Sessions (coming soon): From business skills to technical skills to career and personal development, we will host virtual sessions that are not just informative but also valuable to you.  

• State and Regional Chapters (coming soon): This is a chance to discuss opportunities for professional development activities, networking, scholarship, advocacy, and any other business that arises, tailored around local interests. 

• In-region Networkers (coming soon) – meet with other young professionals to share knowledge and network.

Rootlings is funded by Wine Australia through the ASVO, after a successful pilot program that has been running in NSW since 2023. The pilot program in NSW has seen significant growth in the number of young professionals joining and actively participating in our initiatives, leading to the expansion of Rootlings nationally.
